What are Batman's secrets?

Bruce is trying to uncover a mystery, a mystery that could bring down the entire Justice League and universe along and involves one of his biggest enemies as well.

The prelude of the next big DC event is here.

The upcoming crossover Metal has been teased for a while and Scott Snyder has been chosen to tell this big story that could redefine the DCU again. How does it far?

Well, so far so good.

Snyder always had a pretty good skill at depicting cinematic storytelling and so is pretty logical that he would be the one handling an event. Mind you, this story doesn't really opens in a big action packed way nor exploits that kind of technique but it still escalates solidly during the whole read culminating in an interesting cliffhanger.

The best for me here were the little teases about the rest of the DCU. Multiple appearances of classic characters along with mentions and little hints about the existence of mythos connected to this story, not only from Batman but also from the rest of the Justice League. Is definitely a nice show for fans.

The only thing that makes it not appealing are the artists I believe. Jim Lee, Andy Kubert and John Romita Jr. handle the pencils and their work is not up to par since they don't deliver the kind of detail the story warrants, particularly during the little aspects the plot presents.

Enjoyable enough, let's see where it goes.
