We're getting ready for back to school! What better way to kick off the beginning of the school year, than by spotlighting a few books that will be out later this fall. First up, It's Shoe Time by Bryan Collier!

A fun, inter-active easy reader told from the shoes point of view. It's Shoe Time! will not only make learning to read enjoyable, kids will learn matching when it comes to the variety of shoes in the little girls closet. Which shoe goes on which foot, and which shoes will the young girl choose? There are so many choices. Be prepared for a few laughs as well. 

Great for early readers, this book also makes a great read aloud. Kids can make the noises the different shoes make when they walk, as well as match up shoe pairs from the story. This would also be perfect for a "wacky Wednesday" kind of theme at school, because of the mismatching pair of shoes the girl picks. We loved that this is an easy reader with diversity. 

It's Shoe Time! is another great addition to the Elephant and Piggie Like Reading series. It not only teaches kids to read, and makes it fun, readers will also learn what it means to be pair vs what a matching pair is.
