The Red Queen will make Barbara pay for what happened to Ainsley and not even the help of Nightwing might be enough to stop her.
This arc concludes and is once again quite underwhelming.
Hope Larson offers a new installment where sadly the weakest aspects of her writing becomes quite evident, namely plot. The Red Queen is not interesting enough of a villain to invest so much time on her but worst of all is that the motivation behind all the people involved here is Ainsley, a character that I actually had to check her name again and again to remember. Her death is not reason enough for all the characters to act this way, particularly because she barely had any personality beyond being an addict which was basically her whole reason of existing.
The relationship between Dick and Babs is solidly done with cute moments here and there but there are also ridiculous ones like Babs losing control and almost killing the Mad Hatter (something that has never happened before). Not to mention that the way how she freed Dick from the mind control is impossible even for superhero comics.
Chris Wildgoose's pencils are really good though, he manages to make every scene vibrant and fun to watch.
Other than that, I'm finally dropping this book. Good riddance.
