Deathstroke has made a contract with Red Lion to stop his enemies and those are the world's greatest superheroes. Now all of them will have to find a way to stop this conflict once for all.
This story concludes in an adequate although not perfect way.
Christopher Priest delivers the final chapter in this story by delivering a logical solution for the dilemma the JL has been facing. Mind you, that solution is pretty easy to figure out since is about how the team can't handle certain issues concerning human nature and they need to start working together better in the future which sets-up the upcoming events of the new Justice League line of books.
That being said, there a few problems about how some plot-points were handled. The kiss between Jessica and Batman? It did happen and was solved rather quickly in a manner that is funny but still odd. Not to mention that Deathstroke beating the entire League seems a bit exaggerated while Slade seems more talkative than usual which is pretty weird considering that he doesn't act this way in Priest's own Deathstroke run.
Pete Woods' artwork is quite solid thanks to the expressive characters and semi-cartoony style.
Was expecting a bit more from this finale but I guess that's what happens when you have no choice but prepare the book for a new editorial direction. Hope that Priest gets more gigs.
