Some thoughts about The Wild Storm #15
People around the world are dying.Henry Bendix is willing to create a new war while John Lynch is looking for his former teammates and not with the best results.
I actually think this series is finally delivering what it promised.
As I mentioned countless times in the past, the story that Warren Ellis has been telling since the beginning, while intriguing, it was extremely slow-paced to the point that it seemed like there were chapter where barely anything happened. However, the last few installments have been finally reaching the potential of this book, mostly because it introduces compelling characters who contribute to the plot and world (despite that many of them die in the same issue they're presented).
This is perfectly demonstrated here. The chapter opens with Henry Bendix (always a great way to do so) in one of his typical outbursts and things are quickly escalating between Craven and him to the point where the war is inevitable. John Lynch is also a big reason why the story has started to pick up due that his role in the plot involves the appearance of different superhumans who have their own stories and lives.
Jon Davis-Hunt remains in art duties and his work is still wonderful thanks to the widescreen storytelling and detailed character models.
Solid read, please continue like this.
