Some thoughts about Hawkman #4

The Hawkmen of two worlds are about to meet.

Carter has arrived to Thanagar and has finally met Katar Hol but not even their similarities will make the Thanagarian trust him.

Thankfully this keeps improving.

Robert Venditti offers a new installment where he delivers the encounter that most people were asking for. The time travel direction the book has taken has made possible for Carter Hall and Katar Hol to be finally reunited. The exploration of Thanagar is pretty solid due that is heavily influenced by previous incarnations of Hawkman and the references to the past (including Katar Hol's nemesis, Byth) are appreciated.

The plot also progresses successfully, much more than in previous issues I would say and is slowly revealing more aspects about the whole mystery concerning Carter's reincarnations and also leads to a pretty pleasent surprise towards the end.

Bryan Hitch does a solid job in art duties since his widescreen style does the action in the planet justice.

Good read, hope things continue this way.
