Hugo Strange has been playing with Slade's mind all this time and he's ready to finally get what he wanted.
This story comes to its conclusion and despite of how overly-long it was, this still was a decent one.
I have been complaining about how much this arc has been dragging, mostly because it seemed like Christopher Priest was repeating many of the same themes he has been using since the beginning. That being said, he does offer a solid finale by presenting an interesting dilemma for Slade concerning the fate of Hugo Strange and the result is really in character.
This eventually leads to a more lighthearted adventure with one of the immates who has been appearing in this arc (who is starting to really sound and look like Deadpool funnily enough) and also concludes with a set-up focusing on one of the best past storylines and makes me excited about what's to come. This is probably why I liked this issue more than previous ones, it offered more content by focusing on multiple segments.
Fernando Pasarin and Carlo Pagulayan share the pencils and their work is still fantastic during their respective sections thanks to their intense fight scenes and detailed style.
Good read, hope the next arc delivers.
