Some thoughts about The Wild Storm #22

The world needs a new authority.

Jenny Spark believes she needs Apollo and Midnighter's help to face Henry Bendix' forces and this might be the beginning of a brand new team.

As I've said before, is about time this happened.

Warren Ellis is about to conclude this series and does it in a pretty appropriate way by reviving a team that represents a lot of his work. Ellis brings back the classic members of The Authority and makes them work together once again, sure, they're basically brand new characters but the clear intention is there and works really nicely in cover and inside of the book.

The plot itself also progresses adequately with Bendix continuing his master plan while other key characters like Jackie King becoming more important. There's still not enough content mind you, but I can take this as decent enough progression.

Jon Davis-Hunt continues in art duties and his work is still great from a storytelling perspective by depicting the action at a big scale.

Good read, hope the next one is not delayed this time.
