Lex Luthor has been gathering followers for Perpetua's mission and the only chance that the Justice League has is if unexpected allies appear.
A new storyline begins and as usual, there are things I like and others that I don't.
Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV bring a new chapter and they continue the typical worldbuilding this book has been offering since issue 1. There's an interesting set-up that is trying to connect the different mythos from each member of the Justice League in a solid way, meaning that aspects like Speed Force and the Emotional Spectrum are joined along with other recently created concepts related to the characters which gives the story a bigger scale as you would expect. Plus, they also bring quite a few important characters into the mix before the issue ends, characters I wasn't expecting.
That being said, there's still the classic overexposition with characters talking more instead of acting and gets really tiring because of the amount of dialogue that could be summarized in better handled scenes.
Jorge Jimenez' art never disappoints though thanks to its kinetic energy and strong storytelling.
Mixed bag. Hope the next one is better.
