Who is Von Freeze?

Born in Germany just when the Nazis were rising, Victor was raised by a kind family but things were not bound to end well for anybody.

A tie-in from the successful series created by Sean Murphy has arrived, handled by the same author of the White Knight books, this issue expands the world in an interesting way.

The story is suited in Germany during Hitler's reign which is usually an interesting time to place a plot. Here we learn about the struggles of a couple of Jewish scientists who are forced to work for the regime, one of them stays true to his values while the other doesn't which creates an interesting contrast between the two while not presenting everything in black and white. This eventually comes together nicely towards the end when the experiments to Jewish people put them both at clash and showing how complex the scenario and characters are.

Of course this is all connected to the classic character Mr. Freeze who is basically the son of both scientists and learn from each one in their own way. The expected gadgets that the villain uses comes to play and the plot eventually leads to Batman and shows how both characters are closer than ever which is something that the current Curse of the White Knight series is going to play with and seems interesting so far.

Klaus Janson handles the art and is pretty solid with strong expressions and precise storytelling.
