Who is the real enemy?

Billy's family is finally complete and it seems like nothing can stop them now but Mr. Mind and strange, yet familiar forces might try to do so.

Well, this chapter created a lot of developments once again.

Geoff Johns offers a new installment where he plays with the idea of Billy's dad joining the team and it's all in good fun. The whole dynamic between the entire family, including the non-powered members, is pretty entertaining and charming, Billy's dad proves to be a pretty good person who actually wants the best for everyone including their enemies which makes all of their scenes together a joy to read.

This might be on purpose though because the issue changes its tone drastically halfway with Mr. Mind finally entering the Monsterlands and discovering his old allies which seems to be classic Shazam villains like Mr. Atom and King Kull among others and this is kind of worldbuilding and connection to mythos that you can appreciate from Johns. Something I don't appreciate so much is the appearance of yet another typical Johns character who breaks the 4th wall and tries to represent the fanbase at its worst by even saying the phrase "Billy Bratson" which was coined by a really annoying fanboy who probably harassed the creators and I'm cool with making fun of them but this can be too much on your face for my taste.

And the cliffhanger is pretty intriguing and sad considering everything that happened so far.

Scott Kolins and Dale Eaglesham share the pencils and they do a pretty solid job during their respective sections with a lot of expression.

Good read, I just hope that character doesn't get too annoying.
