Bruce is trying to fight against the many assassins that were sent to Gotham but there's someone much worse hiding right now.
Another issue that follows the usual pattern.
James Tynion IV brings a new installment where he progresses the main story quite a bit. There's a good sense of escalation concerning the threat that is coming, the action scenes flow well and this is pretty surprising since I didn't think Tynion was so competent with the pacing. The content is pretty solid with the introduction of a few characters that feel fitting to the Batman universe as a whole.
Then again, there are the typical issues with Tynion's writing as characterization. For example, Harley calls the Joker "Mr. J" and "My Pudding" which is stuff that she shouldn't be calling him at all since her whole current theme is about getting over the Joker but then again, this wouldn't be the first time Tynion gets a character badly (and most likely won't be the last). Speaking of which, I really don't like the way Tynion writes Merlyn since he makes him sound overly-silly.
Guillem March, Carlo Pagulayan and Danny Miki share the pencils and their work is really good during their respective scenes.
A bit of a mixed bag but hey, expected.
