Some thoughts about The Flash #761
What are The Reverse-Flash's true plans?Barry is still trying to escape the Speed Force but even if he manages to do so, he doesn't know his archenemy is actually prepared for it.
Getting better and better.
Joshua Williamson offers a new installment where everything is coming together. Right from the beginning where we see Barry speaking with both Jesse Quick and Max Mercury just at the same time Jay Garrick is fighting Thawne, you realize that the fanservice is abundant and things are only starting since the writer even manages to bring back Bart Allen's nemesis as well along with a few other characters that were heavily used during Mark Waid's and Geoff Johns' runs. The thing that makes Williamson's work so good is that he doesn't do this for fanservice's sake since he also builds-up from that by creating solid character work like maybe giving the possibility that Inertia is not as bad as Thawne.
The plot itself progresses at a fast pace in a way that escalates perfectly to the appropriate cliffhanger. There are even a few appropriate questions along the way like, why haven't Thawne used other Speedsters in his plans?
Christian Duce and Scott Kolins handle the art and they do a solid job during their respective scenes with Kolins being my favorite for being classic.
Great read, can't wait for the next one.
