The great manipulator is finally revealed.
Wonder Woman is working alongside Maxwell Lord to find out who is forcing people to make atrocities but the connection with her enemy might be closer than she expected.
We all saw this coming but it was still well-executed.Mariko Tamaki offers a new chapter where some themes get repeated. The idea of people being controlled is still being explored and while there are a few interesting scenarios concerning gun violence and other angles, it's still pretty similar to what we have seen before. Not to mention that the identity of the villain and her connection to Maxwell was pretty much stated at the end of last issue so this is more of the same.
That being said, the dynamic between Diana and Max is quite entertaining because of how much of an egomaniac Max is which clash completely with Diana's character allowing for fun conversations. Plus, Max's background is further explored revealing his classic history with the Justice League International which is always a plus.
Carlo Barberi handles the art and the expressions and action scenes are clearly done but I still miss Mikel Janin.
