Who is Rorschach's partner?
The investigation is leading to a mysterious woman named Laura and how she was raised to be a shooter and was destined to be paired with a vigilante.
Damn, while the last issue made things clearer, this one brings us back to the dark.Tom King offers a new chapter where he explores the past of Laura and does it in a rather interesting way. By exploring an old journal, it allows for an intriguing presentation style and if there's something that I've always liked about King is that, while his writing is pretentious as hell, his presentation has been for the most part compelling. The story fluctuates between the past and the present with Laura giving hints about where the case should go because this comes from the interpretation of the reader of course, is actually a pretty inventive way to handle the direction of the story.
That being said, there are not many answers here, I would say that there are less answers than during last issue, the previous one at least tried to go Meta with the whole "creators and creations" which made me think that's what going to be the rest of the series but we're back to the very few hints of the first chapter.
Jorge Fornes handles the art and is still great with a clean style and precise storytelling.
Good read despite of my complaints, I just hope for some revelations next.
