Wally West has lost all control and started killing people but Barry believes there must be a way to save his nephew.
Future State continues and I know I put this as my most anticipated title this week because of morbid curiosity of how they were going to screw Wally even more and I regret my choice but not for the reasons you think.Brandon Vietti handles this short tie-in about Wally going crazy in the future and to be quite honest, there's not a lot talk about it. The plot is simple, Wally was possessed and Barry is trying to find out a way to save him only to realize that there's no chance at saving. You know, at this point, considering everything that has happened and that this is an alternate timeline, why not simple go all the way and make Wally a maniacal murderer? Sure, is far from what I want but that's already the premise they were going for but for someone reason they apparently regretted some of it and decided to make Wally not in full control of himself.
Why is this a problem now? Because this story is pretty dull otherwise. There's nothing interesting about the plot, direction or characterization, the only thing that could catch someone's attention is the premise about Wally going evil and not even that is well-executed. This is just a waste of time.
Dale Eaglesham's art is the only remarkable aspect of this thanks to his expressive characters.
Aside from that, not worth checking out and not expecting much from the conclusion.
