Who is the better Batman?

Bruce is still doing his investigation but now he will have to face the new Dark Knight to do so. This is far from his only problem since a mysterious being is playing with his mind.

At least there was more progression this time.

Mariko Tamaki offers a new installment where she starts moving the plot while showcasing her usual strengths, characterization. There's a big emphasis on Bruce's thoughts, about what he's enduring now that he's basically a dead man walking while at the same time trying to protect his city from a mysterious threat. This finally puts him at odds with the new Batman and, while the encounter is short, it allows for compelling personal moments.

The investigation has more content overall and presents interesting scenes that show how fragile Bruce's psyche is at this point. The new cast is also compelling enough and have decent scenes.

Dan Mora is still really good and I can't help but notice Greg Capullo's influence on his work more and more, this is for the better due that the result is beautiful.

Matthew Rossemberg finishes his story about Grifter and the first thing that you notice is how energetic the whole read is because of the fast pace and entertaining dialogue, I believe the writer gets Grifter really well. Carmine Di Giandomenico contributes a lot to the segment thanks to his unique and dynamic style.

Good issue, can't wait for the next one.
