Can the students save themselves?

A little expedition has taken the kids from the academy to a town that is decided to hunt them and there's someone even worse controlling everything.

Not gettting any better what a surprise.

I know I've missed a few issues from this series but, considering the lackluster work Tim Sheridan has been doing since... pretty much his whole career (Yeah, apparently not even Masters of the Universe fans like him), is safe to say that I didn't miss much.

Funnily enough, this could be considered a good jumping-on point entry because is the beginning of a new storyarc apparently and it focuses on the "main cast" created by Sheridan. The problem of course, is the same as since the beginning of this series, that this new cast is completely uninteresting and mostly written as either stereotypical teenagers with powers or dull as hell which makes you feel like you're wasting your time reading their adventures. Seriously, I couldn't care less if these kids live or die and this is the worst that you can do in a book.

You can thank the dialogue to the complete failure at creating likable characters because is just pure cringe for the most part with Sheridan constantly doing references to shows like Scooby Doo in ways that have been seen countless times before and he doesn't contribute anything to them, if anything he makes them worse. Speaking of the dialogue, it seems like the writer hasn't learned how to introduce characters yet since Gorilla Grodd here presents his nephew in the most heavyhanded way possible. The plot itself is not bad but rather simple and, you know, the cast doesn't help to make you involved into it.

Rafa Sandoval remains in art duties and his work is still solid with expressive characters and a fluid style.

Aside from that, another skippable chapter. Just change creators please.
