Who is the Golden Age Legionnaire?
The Justice Society is going after the Harlequin's son but in their chase they will find someone connected to both their future and their past.
Well, at least some things are happening at last.
Geoff Johns offers a new installment where he plays with some of the ideas he has been teasing for a long while but at the same time, introducing a few surprises. The first part of the issue is actually the least interesting aspect of the read because we focus too much on the Harlequin's son (one of the retconned characters Johns introduced in his New Golden Age continuity), while we learn about how his own abilities work and get a few references to the classic Golden Age characters, we don't get much progress on the plot or what is the direction the book is going for.
No, that happens towards the end when the Golden Age Legionnaire is introduced and while the idea seemed a bit derivative at first, it became more interesting because the character behind the mask is actually deeply connected to the JSA mythos and finally give us an intriguing cliffhanger.
Mikel Janin handles the art and is solid with beautiful characters and scenarios although at times the storytelling is not as clear as it should be.
Decent overall, I don't know if the conclusion will be satisfying though.
