Sideswipe believes that he needs to watch over his brother no matter what but he will soon learn that there are other ways to solve their problems and that might be the biggest lesson he will ever learn.
Jesus, this was pretty powerful stuff.
John Barber brings a new chapter where he tells the story of the return of Sideswipe and how each character reacts about it. The character work is pretty solid since the writer uses once again his vast knowledge about IDW's continuity to develop Sideswipe in logical ways particularly in his relationship with Sunstreaker and how it has the potential to change and improve.
Up to that point I would have thought that this was a solid issue with a few flaws here based on Sideswipe's character since some aspects seemed a little off but all of this clarified at the end. There's a twist here, one that you don't see coming until is too late and it works in a really strong manner.
Kei Zama's artwork becomes better every time I see it. There's a lot of detail and complexity in the characters and scenarios she depicts while the storytelling is precise when it needs to.
Pleasently surprised by this one and a bit sad at the same time.
