Some thoughts about Batman #52

Bruce Wayne is ready to blame Batman.

Bruce and the rest of jury are trying to figure out if Mr. Freeze is culprit of the murders and he might have the right reason to believe he's innocent.

This one actually worked decently once again.

Tom King continues his story about the dark path that Batman has taken after Selina left him and does it in a logical way. The contrast between Bruce and Batman is really emphasized, Bruce is trying to figure out just like the rest of jury and readers what prompted Batman to become so violent which allows for a deep exploration of his psyche and plays with the classic dual identity the character has suffered from years.

The characterization is pretty on-point for the most part, the dialogue can be a bit odd but nothing as bad as some of the worst examples from this run. My only major complaint is that this almost felt like an interlude to the conclusion, yes, they're trying to figure out things but it seems like very little happened here as a whole.

Lee Weeks continues to be a strong storyteller thanks to his expressive characters and unique style.

Not bad overall, I just hope King doesn't ruin the conclusion.
