Darkseid has convinced the team that there's a bigger destiny for them and the rest of the universe might force them to follow it.
Another issue, another solid entry.
Joshua Williamson offers a new installment where he shows more of how this new team behave. The chapter is mostly centered around character dynamics and how all of these people play with one another and Williamson definitely knows how to create an entertaining interaction. As we learned before, the friendship between Cyborg and Starfire has returned and brings many compelling moments that show how close they are while the new personality that Azrael received creates an engaging sense of conflict for the whole group and really makes him more interesting than ever.
This comes a bit at the expense of the plot since I don't feel there's much progression there. Yes, we learn more about the people who worship the protagonists while a few antagonists are introduced but at the same time, I feel like the story itself didn't advance that much compared to the last issue.
Stjepan Sejic is sadly absent in this issue and is replaced by Philippe Briones who is a solid artist but has a more conventional style and thus is not as visually impressive.
Solid chapter overall, hope for more plot progression next time though.
