Can Liar Liar be saved?

Maxwell Lord has influenced his daughter to the point of madness and now Diana will have to find the best way to stop this fight.

This story comes to an appropriate, yet predictable conclusion.

Mariko Tamaki brings this little story to an end by developing some of the themes she created since the beginning of her run. While I find the idea of Liar Liar being mad as a poor justification for her actions, the way how Diana manages to reach her is pretty fitting for her character and history while the final pages promise an even bigger role for Maxwell Lord.

That being said, I saw this sort of resolution a mile away with Diana saying stuff like "Oh, we can be better than what our parents taught us!" and ending just like that. Is such an overused idea that I wish anyone would create a new twist for it. Not to mention that I'm not that fond of Maxwell Lord still being promoted as an irredeemable villain.

Steve Pugh's art is decent with clear storytelling but seems a bit more rushed than his usual stuff.

Not bad, not great, let's hope for something better now.
