Some thoughts about Infinite Frontier #4
There's a traitor in Justice Incarnate.
Calvin and Thomas are trying to figure out who murdered a Lex Luthor meanwhile people around the Multiverse are finding out what happened to the people who disappeared and this all might be connected to a person who's looking for a solution that might affect the Multiverse.
Is good to be back.Due to personal issues I wasn't able to cover this series that I absolutely loved since issue 0 but I have been able to keep up with most chapters and I must say that Joshua Williamson continues to deliver a really engaging read.
Right from the beginning we get the classic Williamson's attention to continuity including the references to the Lex Luthor to Earth 23 and even the appearances of forgotten and even deceased characters like Atom Smasher and the second Wildcat, you just have to love how Williamson mentions the history that Roy Harper and Jade share in both the Titans and the Outsiders. Is the kind of care that I adore from this author.
There are also solid character bits around the story like the growing friendship between Calvin Ellis and Thomas Wayne, and how the latter regrets his actions during Tom King's misguided Batman run. All of this escalating towards a pretty surprising reveal at the end which gets appropriately meta and makes me excited for what's going to happen next.
Paul Pelletier, Xermanico and Jesus Merino share the pencils and the first two do a pretty solid job but Merino as usual does a serviceable at best and rushed a worst work.
Overall, a pretty enjoyable installment. Can't wait for the next one.
