Everything dies now.

Superman has been infected and now every hero on the planet will have to try to stop him but their combined forces are not enough to stop a God.

This series has come to a conclusion and there are a few good aspects and others less so.

Tom Taylor brings the final chapter that plays with the terrible ramifications of a corrupted Superman (which wouldn't be the first time he does it though). Obviously, every hero here is bound to fail and Earth is pretty much doomed in this situation but Taylor manages to deliver a few interesting moments from a scope standpoint and I suppose this is the least you can expect from him usually, the battles have a nice sense of scale and the end of the world looks appropriately epic.

If there's a complaint I have though is that, once again, I don't like how Taylor writes Green Arrow. He insist on portraying him as an "everyman" reaching the point where Batman didn't even consider him a threat and didn't prepare a takedown plan for him. Sure, I don't think Ollie should be a "planetary threat" and Taylor does give him a little respect halfway but does it in its typical everyman-ish way where his only dangerous aspects reside in his archery skills instead of his flawed and fluctuating personality.

I don't know if this is the end of story per se but it's the end for now at least. Plus, the final page points towards yet another Taylor work, hopefully he will have better luck with this "Earth 2" than with the last one.

Trevor Hairsine remains in art duties and his work has become more polished and better at depicting the huge action scenes.

Decent enough finale, let's see if the universe continues from now on.
